About Us

 

Your professional guide, Mark Buckingham, has spent many years trout fishing in the South Island of New Zealand.

 

He has been a professional guide since 2000 and member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association (NZPFGA) since 2001.

 

This association promotes a high level of professionalism, sportsmanship and conservation in the interests of angling.

 

He previously worked for 4 years with the Dept of Conservation (who manage the National Parks and Reserves in NZ ) and 7 years with the New Zealand Police Service (who manage all the bad boys !).

 

He was a member of the Police Search and Rescue team in Christchurch for 3 1/2 years during this time.

 

 

Mark specialises in sight fishing to brown and rainbow trout using dry fly, nymphs, wet fly or streamer.

 

 

His patient friendly manner combined with his knowledge and experience will enable you to have a enjoyable and safe fishing experience.

 

Mark is married with two children,  and a cat who is the landlord !.
